In Hardy's Country (2025)

Drawing on my memories and paintings of Dorchester, England, the short evokes the joy of biking along the coast and the elation of making it over the top of the hill to see the ocean for the first time.

These watercolors were done while I spent 3 weeks as an artist-in-residence at Hardy’s Cottage in 2019, capturing the scenery and leading weekly observational drawing walking tours for the visitors.

This little self portrait was a commemoration of the bike that I found at the local dump, and rode around Dorchester until it fell to pieces.

A little bildungsroman (of sorts!) — and an early experiment in overlaying textures onto digital animation.
